Dr. Collins Omondi Opiyo is born and bred in Bonde Village, Nyango’ma Division, Siaya County. He is a co-founder of Nyang’oma Development and Resource Services. He has participated in and supported various empowerment and development as well as social activities in the community, both at the behest of the Group and else. Professionally, he is a natural and social scientist with a career spanning over three decades in public service with national governments and international development organisations, which includes teaching, coaching and mentorship. He is very enthusiastic about improving the community’s welfare through leveraging both local and other resources for their own empowerment and development. He has lived and worked in several countries, especially in Africa, which has continued to enrich his perspectives in public service – particularly in national and community development. He provides important and much-needed leadership to grow and steer the Group’s agenda to greater heights.
