My name is Evans Odhiambo Opondo, and I was born and raised in Bonde Village, South Sakwa Location. Growing up, I saw my peers having challenges of having limited access to education—missing classes and struggling to find books. These experiences shaped my understanding of the importance of bridging the gaps in our community, especially in education.
I am passionate about helping my community and bringing people together—well-wishers and stakeholders alike—to create opportunities for growth and development. As a peasant farmer, I grow maize and millet not only to meet my family’s needs but also to support the wider community.
I also have a deep passion for goat rearing and cattle farming, and I’m committed to sharing my knowledge with the younger generation to help them build sustainable livelihoods.
My dream is to make our community a better, more habitable place for future generations—a place where every child has access to education and opportunities to thrive. Through Nyangoma Resource and Development Center, I hope to turn this vision into a reality.
